Fall Gossip & Drama
All the latest gossip from the barn.
🥖 Breadgate 2025
Someone (nobody’s naming names, but all eyes are on Barnaby) got into Jeff’s loaf of sourdough cooling in the kitchen window. Crumbs were mysteriously tracked through the barn. Now Shirley’s demanding a full investigation, complete with hoofprint analysis.
🍎 The Apple Heist
Mercy swears she saw Valentino stash half a bushel of apples behind the hay bales. He claims they’re “emergency supplies for winter.” Everyone else calls it The Apple Cartel.
🎃 Pumpkin Drama
Brian thinks he should be in charge of all pumpkins since he’s the “best at fall aesthetics.” Molly says he’s delusional, because clearly she invented fall. Shirley is already sharpening her horns in case a pumpkin coup breaks out.
🪜 The Ladder Incident
During fall decorating, Elvis knocked over the barn ladder. Official story: “gravity.” Unofficial story: he was trying to climb it with a wreath around his neck, tripped, and took three garlands down with him. Witnesses say the chaos was spectacular.
☕ Cider Shortage Scandal
Niles drank half the cider barrel by himself and tried to blame “evaporation.” Now everyone’s calling him “Thirsty Niles.” Barn rumor says Mercy is considering upping her cider prices because of him.
Why Goat Milk?
pH: Goat milk's pH is closer to your skin's pH than pure water, which can help soothe your skin.
Vitamin A: Goat milk is high in vitamin A, which can help repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin
Anti-aging: Goat milk contains antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E, which can help protect your skin from aging
Goat milk contains alpha hydroxyl acids, which removes dead skin cells and encourages the growth of new cells
Why lavender?
Q: Why do you use lavender in so many of your bars?
A: We do use lavender in several of our bars. Let's go through why. Lavender is said to be antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. It's also said to aid in wound healing, and help skin retain moisture. So those are great reasons to use lavender in our soap. From a scent perspective, lavender blends really well with and compliments many other essential oils. It can add just a touch of sweetness, or take a bit of sharpness out of other oils. What you really find is that really the only one of our bars that smells like lavender is Hutch's Honey & Lavender Bar, as lavender is the only essential oil it contains. In our other bars, lavender is just one of a blend..so you're not really smelling the essential oils individually, you're smelling a new scent created by the blend. I really can't smell lavender in any of the others, but it's part of the blend that creates the scent, and the skin benefits we're going for. Hope that answers the question! Any other questions...let us know!
